AWS has extended its core cost management tools to support granular spend breakdowns for Amazon Bedrock. The change went live 8 October 2026.[^1]

Cost Explorer, Budgets and Cost Management Dashboards now include a dedicated product attribute dimension for Bedrock. This dimension breaks spend down by individual model, model provider, inference type and enabled feature. The feature is available at no additional charge in all standard commercial AWS regions.[^2]

Users may combine the new attributes with existing IAM principal tags to map spend to specific users or roles.[^3]

Corresponding API updates have shipped to both client libraries. Programmatic grouping, filtering and budget rules can now use the same Bedrock attributes available in the console interfaces.[^4][^5][^6]
