Ronnie Chatterji, chief economist at OpenAI, stated that the team is looking for researchers with strong analytical skills, flexibility, and independent thinking.

Chatterji leads a research group of approximately a dozen people that studies the economic impact of AI on workers, businesses, and the broader economy.

He joined OpenAI in 2024 after serving as the coordinator of the $52 billion CHIPS program and acting deputy director of the National Economic Council in the Biden White House.
