OpenAI has added a new plugin that integrates ChatGPT with Apple Messages on Mac computers.

The release enables the chatbot to search, summarize, draft, and send conversations from Apple's Messages app on Macs.

OpenAI stated that the system will only send text messages once a user explicitly approves them.

Neither Apple nor OpenAI notifies the other person in a conversation that their messages are being accessed, and there is no way for them to revoke this access.
