Anthropic ran its Claude model for formal security verification on 123 open-source software libraries, uncovering hundreds of bugs during the process.

Claude audited 25 major open source projects written in C, C++, Java, PHP, and Python.

Vercel Labs released fx as open source in August 2026. The experimental coding agent is written in Zig, designed for embedding or scripting.

The fx team built the assistant using existing open source software rather than developing every component from scratch. It utilizes LibreChat for the conversational interface and the Model Context Protocol to connect to tools and data sources.
