Anthropic stated on October 27 that its internal Claude AI model generated a working remote root exploit for Linux kernel CVE-2026-98432.

A separate account of the work said an unreleased research AI model discovered the same vulnerability and constructed a working remote code execution exploit for the flaw.

The published disclosures do not state whether the two models are related variants, or share an underlying architecture.
